We are an apolitical group of concerned individuals and organisations, recognising the severe impacts of COVID-19 in other countries worldwide and preparing Kenya for new variants and more damaging waves.

Kenya has avoided some of the main health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic although the economic and psychological effects have been severe and unequal.

Economic necessities may combine with general fatigue at lockdown restrictions to make us extremely vulnerable to the newer, more virulent, variants of the virus.

Global vaccine shortages are anticipated to continue during the course of 2021. We have a narrow window of opportunity to learn lessons - and make preparations.

We began as a volunteer civil society umbrella initiative in May 2021, and are now supporting the global United Nations Verified initiative.
